Memory-Making Mom By Jessica Smartt: Book Review

https://amzn.to/2Ixdu4f

This book is so well-written and encouraging - I wholeheartedly recommend it! You may be thinking that you don't NEED this book because you're already pretty good at making memories. Or you might be nervous to read it because you are worried you're a failure in the memory-making department. No matter where you find yourself, you will love this book!
I didn't read it and feel guilty about my parenting and a lack of traditions so far. When I finished Memory-Making Mom, I was feeling encouraged - motivated, and ready to start creating new traditions to share with my kids. I appreciate how the author not only shares the who, what, when, where, and how for making lasting traditions, but most importantly, the why. I think anyone who reads this book will take away some good practical ideas and tips, but even more a better understanding of why making memories is important.
This book is going to be my new go-to gift for expectant moms (along with the Jesus Storybook Bible). It's the kind of book that would really be beneficial to read as you prepare your heart and home for being a mother (or father too). I wish I had the chance to read this book years ago! But as the author reminds us that it's never too late to start making traditions with your family.

Jessica understands (so much!) what it's like to mother littles. She's also just a regular person like me, who wants to make memories with her kids and she's tired and overwhelmed some days and still, she's finding ways to give her children a childhood worth remembering. Also, she makes the reader feel like we can do it too!

This book will help anyone in any stage of motherhood (or GRANDmotherhood). Just one idea found within its pages might make an ENORMOUS difference to one child you love. It's an easy, quick read and worth every moment.

Jessica’s book offers so many suggestions on how to create traditions and memories within our families. She even organized a quick reference appendix with over 200 possible ideas for all types of family structures (even in the case of divorce/split custody, military families, as well as how to celebrate traditions after a loss of a parent) There is something for everybody!
